Japan's largest volcano Mount Aso erupted on the Kyushu island on Wednesday. Japan Meteorological Agency said the 1,592-metre volcano sent plumes of ash 3.5 kilometres into the sky when it erupted at about 11:43 am local time. It has raised the alert level for the volcano to level three on a scale of five, warning people to avoid the mountain.
