Japan's Ōkunoshima island is known as 'Rabbit Island' for being home to over 1,000 rabbits. The island was Japan's secret chemical-weapons production site during World War II where weapons were tested on rabbits, and when the war came to an end, the rabbits were set loose. A tourist destination now, the island offers experiences like hiking and playing with rabbits
