Jawaharlal Nehru's statue reinstalled in WB after Congress' 24-hour deadline
A 20-foot statue of late Pt Jawaharlal Nehru was allegedly uprooted using a crane and dumped in a nearby forested area in West Bengal's Durgapur. Congress accused BJP workers, but the latter denied any involvement. However, the statue was reportedly restored in a late-night operation after Congress issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the police. BJP workers later garlanded the statue.
