A 19-year-old youth, Vicky Nayak, was allegedly beaten to death by villagers in Jharkhand’s Ranchi district after being suspected of stealing a motor pump. Police said a panchayat meeting was held during which he was assaulted. He was declared brought dead at RIMS. Six people have been arrested, and an FIR has been registered based on his father’s statement.
