Jio in talks with US firms to trade broadband tech for equity: Report

Jio Platforms has held talks with US companies including Comcast and Charter Communications to license its wireless broadband technology in exchange for potential stakes in their businesses, Reuters reported. Discussions with South Africa's MTN Group also took place but fell through over valuation and licensing disagreements. This comes as Jio has been looking to expand internationally.
