Reliance Industries is reportedly planning to combine JioCinema with Disney+ Hotstar after the merger of Star India and Viacom18. The move is likely as operating a single OTT platform will help save costs and give strong competition to platforms like YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video. The merged Star-Viacom18 entity will be valued at ₹70,352 crore and controlled by Reliance Industries.
