BJP criticised CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government in Himachal Pradesh after locals alleged that a "user charge" has been imposed on people going to Churdhar valley in Sirmaur district, where there's an ancient temple. BJP termed it a "fee on religious pilgrimage". BJP's Jairam Thakur said, "They've a 'Jizya tax' mindset...they're...taking money from temples to fund their schemes."
