Jharkhand Assembly again passed a bill that proposes to fix land records of 1932 as basis for domicile in the state. As per the bill, people who've their names or their ancestors' names in land records of 1932 or before will be considered Jharkhand's local inhabitant. Domicile status is mandatory to apply for Class III and Class IV government jobs.
