JNPA clears congestion as container handling hits 35,307 TEUs
Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has cleared temporary weekend congestion caused by a surge in export cargo and simultaneous bunching of over 15 container vessels. Daily quay-side handling touched 35,307 TEUs on October 4, while yard occupancy fell to 52.61% by October 6. Truck turnaround time improved to 1.47 hours as CFS coordination and additional resources eased cargo movement.
