Friday's The Hundred 2025 clash between Birmingham Phoenix and Trent Rockets saw Joe Root get bowled by Tim Southee, who was his England bowling coach only a week back. Root tried to slog a length ball from Southee but was cleaned up by the veteran. Southee was roped-in by England as a temporary bowling consultant for the recently-concluded home summer.
