Lt Bharati 'Asha' Sahay Choudhry, who was in Rani of Jhansi Regiment of Indian National Army, said, she joined Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's fight for India's freedom at the age of 17. The 97-year-old Sahay mentions in her book, 'The War Diary of Asha-san', that she learnt how to use machine guns and how to fire pistols in Bangkok.
