RR defeated RCB by seven wickets in the Qualifier 2 to reach the final of IPL 2022. RCB put up a total of 157/8, with RR chasing it down in 18.1 overs, driven by Jos Buttler's 106*(60). RR have reached an IPL final after 14 years. They had defeated CSK in the final of the inaugural edition in 2008.
