Anshika Verma failed in her first attempt to crack UPSC but did not give up. Hailing from a middle-class background and being an engineering graduate from a tier-3 college, she did not let anything stop her from becoming a civil servant. She went on to crack UPSC in her 2nd attempt with an AIR 136 in 2020.
