JSW Energy has said that its subsidiary JSW Mahandai Power Company (JMPCL) has received a demand of ₹1,447 crore in water charges from Chhattisgarh water division. The firm added that the claims pertain to a period before its resolution plan for the subsidiary under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. JMPCL has challenged the demand before the High Court, it said.
