JSW Steel chairman Sajjan Jindal confirmed that his group is looking to acquire an IPL side, widely speculated to be the Royal Challengers Bangalore owned by Vijay Mallya. Jindal said they were looking for a credible team "so that they can promote sports". JSW Sports, a wing of JSW group, is also looking at other sports like hockey and kabaddi.
