JSW Steel has earmarked $1.3 billion to reduce carbon emissions and will shift to solar power for energy and use more scrap, joint MD Seshagiri Rao said. It's also in talks with GAIL India for supply of natural gas to its biggest mill. JSW Steel aims to reduce emissions to 1.95 tons for every ton of steel produced by 2030.
