Judge blocks Trump's plan to put thousands of USAID staff on leave

A judge has temporarily blocked US President Donald Trump from placing over 2,000 workers at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) on paid leave, hours before it was due to happen. Trump has argued that USAID is not a valuable use of taxpayer money and had planned to put nearly all of the agency's 10,000 employees on leave.
