Judge catches jailed officer with girlfriend at hospital during surprise inspection in K'taka

An undertrial civil servant, who was supposed to be lodged in a jail, was found receiving VIP treatment at a hospital in Karnataka despite reportedly having no illness requiring hospitalisation. During a surprise inspection, Mohammad Hussain was caught with his girlfriend in the ward. He was arrested in connection with alleged irregularities at the Srirangapatna Taluk Land Records Office.
