Pakistan recorded its deadliest month of 2026 in July, with 606 people killed and 232 injured in terrorist attacks and counter-terrorism operations, according to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies. The dead included 112 security personnel and 74 civilians. It also noted that 401 militants were killed in July, the highest monthly toll in over a decade.
