Junior doctors intensify stipend hike protest in Andhra Pradesh
Around 9,000 junior doctors, residents and interns in Andhra Pradesh began a complete boycott of emergency services over their demand for a 15% stipend hike. The protest has affected government hospitals, including ICUs, casualty wards and labour rooms. The state government has made arrangements to keep emergency, ICU, maternity and trauma services running without interruption.
