Junk food advertising linked to increased calorie intake in kids

Just five minutes of junk food ads can make children eat 130 extra kilocalories a day, a University of Liverpool study found. Involving 240 kids aged 7-15, the study showed increased intake even hours later, regardless of media type. Experts urged stricter policies, warning current UK ad restrictions may not fully shield children from unhealthy food marketing.
