Jupiter and Saturn come closest in night sky after 397 years, pics go viral

Jupiter and Saturn came closer than any time in 397 years on Monday night in the event dubbed 'Great Conjunction'. The two planets were at their closest separation at 0.1° apart. The event was visible with the unaided eye as well. The pictures above include the event as seen from New Delhi, Las Vegas and New York among others.
