Jupiter's 'string-of-pearls' storms captured by NASA probe

NASA's Jupiter probe Juno has captured one of the eight massive counterclockwise rotating storms that appear like a string of pearls over the southern hemisphere. The image was taken by the JunoCam imager as the spacecraft performed its third close flyby about 24,600 km from Jupiter. Since 1986, the number of these oval storms has varied between six and nine.
