Justice Yashwant Varma of Allahabad High Court resigned on day he was set to begin his defence, a year after a stash of burnt cash was recovered from his official residence, NDTV reported, citing a source. An impeachment motion was introduced in Parliament last year, and he was given time from April 10 to April 14 to present his side.
