K'taka artisan crafts eco-friendly idols ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi

Artisan, named Ganesh in Karnataka's Magadi town, is upholding a three-generation family tradition by crafting eco-friendly Lord Ganesh idols ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. "Making [Lord Ganesh idols] using natural clay brings us immense satisfaction," Ganesh said. "If the government recognises and supports us, we can teach this art to more people and pass it on to future generations," he added.
