K'taka court orders Railways to pay ₹15000 over no water in toilet

A Karnataka consumer commission has ordered railway authorities to pay ₹15,000 in compensation and legal expenses after 24 passengers found that the train toilets had no water while travelling from Yeshwanthpur to Shivamogga. The group got down at Tumakuru and paid an additional ₹1,760 to board another train. The commission also directed a ₹1,000 ticket refund with 6% annual interest.
