HM Venkatappa, a 79-year-old doctor, donated ₹14 crore from his savings to rebuild the school where he once studied in Karnataka's Honganuru after it was demolished in June 2022. The new school has now 50 classrooms, 40 computers, smartboards, science labs, a library, and sports facilities. It now offers classes from LKG to II PU in Kannada and English.
