Karnataka has set up a State-Level Technical Advisory Committee for palliative care to guide policy, expand services and improve access for patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses, while drawing on Kerala’s home-based, community-led model. The committee will help draft and implement a state policy, set standards and integrate palliative care across primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
