Kaji Nemu, an aromatic and nutritious citrus fruit has always been an integral part of Assamese cuisine. On Tuesday, it won a new accolade and was named Assam's State Fruit. In the past, it has been awarded a GI Tag but Assam's ministers believe that this new title will put the fruit in the global spotlight.
