A Bengaluru court has issued an injunction order restraining actor Kamal Haasan from making any statement defaming the Kannada language, literature, land and culture. The court also issued a summons to Hassan to appear before the court on August 30. This comes after Kamal recently sparked controversy by saying that "Kannada is born out of Tamil".
