Indian-origin Kamala Harris will become US' first female, first Black and first South Asian Vice President. Harris, 56, was born in Oakland, California, to a Jamaican father and an Indian mother. Harris herself ran for president in 2020 but had dropped out of the race months before Joe Biden was named the party's presidential nominee.
