The last Maharaja of Darbhanga, was Maharajadhiraj Sir Kameshwar Singh Goutam Bahadur, born in 1907. He was first Indian to get the bust of Mahatma Gandhi made and presented it to Viceroy of India. He controlled 14 businesses across various sectors and also started a private airlines called the Darbhanga Aviation. He was elected to the Constituent Assembly from Bihar.
