After Kamla Pasand owner Kamal Kishore's daughter-in-law Deepti died by suicide in Delhi home, his lawyer issued a statement. He denied police claims that her diary note mentioned dispute with husband Harpreet. He also denied her brother's allegations that Harpreet had multiple affairs and used to assault Deepti. He added that the families want to cremate her with full respect.
