Kangra farmer finds value in dragon fruit surplus

Dragon fruit cultivation in Kangra is moving beyond the farm gate, with a progressive farmer turning naturally grown, undersized and surplus fruit into value-added products to tackle post-harvest losses and create an additional source of income. Jeevan Singh Rana, a recipient of the Utkrisht Kisan Samman for his achievements in natural farming, has become the first farmer in the state.
