Amid rising concerns over trekkers going missing in Dhauladhar ranges of Himachal Pradesh, the Kangra District Administration has launched a safety initiative aimed at preventing future mishaps, by setting up surveillance checkposts at the starting points of 10 most popular trekking routes. The Disaster Management Act has been invoked, making registration at these checkposts mandatory.
