American rapper Kanye West has been criticised for calling to abolish the 13th amendment that ended slavery in the US. He said that the amendment was "slavery in disguise meaning that it never ended". The amendment, which came into force in 1865, bans slavery and involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime.
