Karnataka bans analogue paneer for 1 year

The Karnataka FDA has banned the manufacture, storage, distribution and sale of analogue or non-dairy paneer sold in the state as real dairy paneer for one year starting August 17. Analogue paneer is fake paneer made with vegetable oils, starches or other non-dairy ingredients instead of milk. The move aims to safeguard public health, the FDA's notice stated.
