Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's cabinet on Friday gave its nod for amending the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurement (KTPP) Act and make provisions for a 4% quota for Muslim contractors. Reacting to it, the BJP said this is an act of "appeasement politics". "Those who chant Amberdkar's name are contemplating reservation based on religious grounds," BJP's Shehzad Poonawalla said.
