Karnataka contractors allege MLAs demand commissions

The Karnataka State Contractors’ Association has alleged that 75% of MLAs demand commissions from contractors. It claims nearly ₹38,000 crore in bills remain unpaid across eight departments, affecting around 1.5 lakh contractors. The association has threatened statewide protests and said it may release documents allegedly linked to commission demands if dues are not cleared by November-end.
