Batting first, Tamil Nadu were dismissed for 252 in 49.5 overs, with Karnataka pacer Abhimanyu Mithun taking a hat-trick and registering figures of 9.5-0-34-5. Karnataka's KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal scored fifties before the final was called off.
