Amid concerns over rising social media addiction among children, the Karnataka government is considering banning mobile phone use for students under the age of 16 in schools. CM Siddaramaiah has sought the opinion of Vice Chancellors on the issue. He said that countries like Australia have imposed similar restrictions on mobile phone use among school students.
