RCB is facing "considerable pressure" from the Karnataka government to retain and recruit more local players, as per a report. The state government's decision to interfere in the affairs of the team comes before the IPL 2025 mega auction which will take place later this year. This would mean that RCB would have to change their strategy for the auction.
