The Karnataka High Court on Friday allowed Isha Foundation's 112-ft Adiyogi Shiva statue to be inaugurated in Chikkaballapur district near Bengaluru on Sunday. A PIL alleged the construction of the yoga centre, of which the statue is a part, was undertaken in an environmentally sensitive area, violating laws of land acquisition. Notably, the court ordered a status quo on construction.
