Karnataka HC quashes ED case against Congress MLA

The Karnataka High Court quashed the ECIR and all PMLA proceedings against Congress MLA KY Nanjegowda and others, ruling ED's powers are "derivative, not original" and it "cannot act as a super cop". The court held ED cannot pursue money-laundering cases once the predicate offence is closed, and cannot file private complaints under PMLA.
