Karnataka has lost over ₹5,474 crore to cyberfraud in the past three years, including nearly ₹2,000 crore in 2025 alone. Despite more than 52,000 incidents, only ₹627 crore has been recovered. Bengaluru accounts for most losses, driven by rising digital payments, low awareness, and misuse of technology, officials say.
