Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao announced a new Monkey Fever (KFD) lab in Sirsi to ease the burden on the Shivamogga lab. The facility will enable faster testing, reduce mortality, and provide free treatment and ambulance services. Doctors have received KFD training, and the ICMR is developing a vaccine expected within a year, ensuring better disease management.
