Karnataka plans rules to regulate reuse, disposal of cooking oil
Karnataka’s Health Department is planning new guidelines to regulate the reuse and disposal of cooking oil in hotels, restaurants, bakeries and households. The plan includes limiting oil reuse, monitoring Total Polar Compounds (TPC) and collecting used oil through local bodies. The collected oil will be supplied to authorised agencies and biofuel companies for conversion into biodiesel.
