Karnataka proposes up to ₹25,000 annual fee for parking cars on residential roads

The Karnataka government has notified a draft policy that proposes a ₹25,000 annual fee for parking SUVs on residential roads in Bengaluru. Small cars could attract a permit fee of ₹15,000/year, while owners of sedans may have to pay ₹20,000/year. For non-residential on-street parking, cars could be charged ₹80/hr for Category A roads and ₹60/hour for Category B roads.
