Karnataka Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre has proposed a Penguin park in Mysuru. The authorities have proposed the facility to be built adjacent to the Mysuru Zoo, at Karanji Lake. After Mumbai and Ahmedabad, this would be the third such facility in India, and first for south India. Authorities plan to create artificial cooling effects and maintain temperatures below zero degrees.
