Four Scheduled Caste subcastes – Manasa, Kembatti, Mera, and Madiga Dasari – have been found missing from Karnataka’s official list of 101 recognised castes, according to the Justice Nagamohan Das Commission. Despite their absence from the list, these subcastes are being recorded under broader categories like Adi Karnataka or Adi Dravida.
